Submit an application form which can be done online or downloaded, scanned and submitted to office@guildfordgolfclub.co.uk. This is then passed to the Club Secretary who will be in contact with you to invite you in to discuss your application.
It is dependent on the availability of both you and the Secretary to have the conversation. In general, it is around two weeks.
Ideally, yes, but we understand that some people are coming back to golf after an extended break or are new to the game. If you have a handicap, submit this on the application form. If you do not have a handicap then you must have a proposer and seconder.
There are three options; Either a full upgrade of category and you will then have the difference in rounds added to your Lifestyle balance, or a bespoked invoice for as many rounds as you like by calling the Office. Once this invoice is paid, the amount of rounds requested will be added to your Lifestyle balanxce.
The new 3rd option is when you run out of games and try and book another game, IG will say insufficient funds. At this point you will need to log on to the website, go to My Golf and click on Flexible Account. Once you are on this page, you will now see the option of adding extra games at the top of the page. IG calls this 'points' but it is referring to games or rounds.
If you click on the amount required, it will take you through to a payment portal and you will be able to make your purchase. These games will then instantly be added to your balance and will be visible. You will then be able to make your booking.
Please note that this new way of adding extra games does not replace the normal membership renewal process, but just makes it easier for you to add a handful more games until you reach your membership renewal date.
If you know a Guildford Golf Club Member who is happy to support your application, then please put their name down. If you don’t know a Member then you must have an official handicap. Each application is looked at on an individual basis and the Secretary will discuss your golfing history with you.
The offer letter will have a start date of the 1st of the following month or later if specially requested.
Yes you are asked to pay for your first year up front to show your commitment to the Club. However we have a direct debit facility to spread the cost.
